5 ways to add Sticky Notes and more about Sticky Notes

Updated this week

Five easy ways to create sticky notes and start visualizing work in your PI Sessions.

Sticky notes in piplanning.io are much more than colored rectangles — they are context-aware planning objects that help teams visualize, structure, and align their work during PI Planning and Execution. This article focuses on how to add sticky notes to your board, quickly and in the way that suits your workflow.

What makes a Sticky Note smart

Sticky notes in piplanning.io adapt to your context automatically. What you see on a sticky note, from type and estimate fields to ALM sync status, depends on:

  • The type of sticky note (e.g. work item, dependency, note, etc.)

  • The mode you’re in (Planning or Execution)

  • The board you’re working on (Team, ART, Solution, etc.)
