Status and Progress on Sticky Notes

Learn how to visualize and manage statuses, ensuring your teams stay updated and aligned.

Updated over 10 months ago

Based on the status on sticky notes you can show progress on backlog level work items, dependencies and objectives.

Status Indicator

Sticky Note Types with a "Work Item" function do have a status attribute shown on the sticky note.

The status color reflects the status category. You will notice 4 status categories

  • To Do (Grey)

  • In Progress (Blue)

  • Done (Green)

  • Undefined (White)

The status can be changed simply by clicking on the dot in the top right-hand corner.

Status Sync with your ALM-Tool

I case your PI session is synced with an ALM-tool, the status will be defined by the workflow you’re using in the ALM-tool.

ALM-Tool Specifics

Every ALM-Tool has it's unique status handling. For details:

  • Jira: Jira Status Sync

  • Azure DevOps: ADO Status Sync

  • Rally: Rally Status Sync

Visualizing Progress on ART level work items

By linking team-level work items (like a User Story) with ART-level work items (like a Feature), you can see a progress bar in the execution mode. The progress bar reflects the sticky count (work items) and their statuses.

Note: You can Link team-level work items from multiple teams to the same ART-level work item. With that you'll make sure that all related work is considered to visualize progess.

Visualizing Progress on Dependencies

Based on the linked team-level work items on the "dependent on" team board, you can see a progress bar on dependencies in the execution mode. The progress bar reflects the sticky count (work items) and their statuses.
