Planning and Execution Mode
Planning and Execution Mode
Updated over a week ago

Based on the context you're looking on a board, you most likely would like to see different information on Sticky Notes. That's why we introduced two different modes.

The Planning and Execution Mode.

What is the difference

The mode in which you're looking on a board does have an impact on two areas

  • Attributes shown on a Sticky Note

  • Progress and current date visualized on Boards

Attributes on a Sticky Note

While in the Plan Mode you're interested in estimations, Story Points on User Stories and WSJF-value on Features, you're interested in the Status of your work items and their progress during Execution.

Progress and current date visualized on Boards

Team Boards

In the Execution Mode you can see the current date, visualized as dashed blue line in the corresponding iteration area.

Plus you see an iteration progress bar at the top of every iteration header.

ART Planning Board

In the Execution Mode you can see

  • The current date, visualized as dashed blue line in the corresponding iteration

  • Your overall team progress for the whole PI

  • Your overall iteration progress for the whole ART
