User Login Basics

  • piplanning.io is a web application. You need a computer with a compatible browsers, an internet connection and the web address (URL) to connect.

    • You will interact with piplanning.io only through the web browser like Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge or Brave.

  • piplanning.io Cloud customers can obtain the direct web address (URL) from their piplanning.io Admins.

    • We recommend you bookmark the unique piplanning.io web address for your companies instance.

    • The main URL for Cloud customers is https://app.piplanning.io.

  • piplanning.io On-Premise customers the web address (URL) will be a custom URL provided by the systems administrators or piplanning.io Admins.

User authentication using native piplanning.io login credentials

Prerequisites:

  • Your piplanning.io User account (via your work email address) should be registered in the system in advance by an Admin.

  • You will receive an email with URL to piplanning.io and be directed to set a password for your account.

Once on the login page please follow these directions:

  1. Enter your work email address (make sure your company has already registered with us) and click Continue.

  2. If prompted, select your organization from the list.

  3. Lastly, enter your password to log in.

On-Prem account

If your company is using on-prem hosting the login process will be done via a custom URL provided by your account admins.

  1. Log in to the RTE Cockpit

  2. Find the button 'Start piplanning app' on the top right corner and click it. This leads you to your custom login URL

Profile

To see and manage your profile follow these steps:

  1. Click on your avatar in the top navigation bar

  2. Click Profile

  3. Manage your Name

  4. See your company account, role, email address

Select Language

In your profile you can select your preferred language. Currently we offer:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • Portuguese

  • Chinese

  • French

Password reset

IMPORTANT: The password reset functionality is deactivated if you have an IDP (SSO) setup.

To reset your password follow these steps:

  1. Enter your email address in the Email field.

  2. Optional: IF you belong to multiple tenant Organizations in piplanning.io, THEN select the Organization button for which you want to change the password.

  3. On the Log in to your Organization page: Click on the Forgot your password? Click here link.

  4. On the Forgot your password page: Enter your email address in the Email field and click Reset password button.

  5. On the Check your email page: Go to your email Inbox and follow the instructions in the email.

ALM user mapping

  1. Go to your user profile settings

  2. Scroll down to ALM user mapping

  3. Open the user selector

  4. Search for your ALM user account

  5. Select your account

  6. Press Save
