Why use ALM User Mapping?
To synchronize the Assignee and Created By fields on a Sticky Note to the respective ALM tools that are connected.
Who completes the ALM User Mapping?
Every individual User of piplanning.io needs to complete the ALM User Mapping themself, in their piplanning.io User Profile.
ℹ️ Please select your ALM (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) User Account to map to your piplanning.io User Account, so that user related properties on a sticky note - Assignee or Created By - can be synchronized between piplanning.io and the ALM tool.
How do I complete the ALM User Mapping?
Click on your piplanning.io User icon (top right-hand corner)
Select Profile from the dropdown menu to open the piplanning.io User Profile page.
Tip: Make sure your piplanning.io User account has a Name so it is not defaulting to your Email address.
Scroll down to ALM User Mapping section.
A list of the ALM Connections active in this instance of piplanning.io are displayed.
Identify the ALM Connection to update with the ALM User Mapping.
Click on the dropdown in the User column that reads
---Not Mapped---. this will enable you to edit the field.Start typing in the first characters of your ALM User email address, to start searching for your ALM User account.
ALM User results that match the characters entered in the search will start to be returned.
Select the right ALM User account from the result/s that are returned.
Click Save
