Iteration Mapping
On tab #11 Iterations of the PI Session wizard, and for each piplaning.io Team participating in the PI Session, select a Rally Iteration Timebox from the dropdown list which maps to a piplanning.io Team Board Iteration.
In the dropdown you will see Rally Iteration Timeboxes from the Rally Project that is mapped to the piplanning.io Team (in the ALM Connection > Team Mappings). Select the appropriate Rally Iteration Timebox that will map to the appropriate Iteration in the PI Session.
Keep in mind, that we only list iterations which do not have the state Accepted.
Rally Iteration Timebox Planned Velocity field sync
This functionality is currently being a Feature toggle. Please contact us via the Messenger App to request the feature be toggled on for your piplanning.io instance.
Note: This new functionality is only supported for piplanning.io Teams that map to a single Rally Project.
The Rally Iteration Timebox > Planned Velocity field can now be synchronized with the Capacity field in the Iterations on the piplanning.io Team Board. The following scenarios (data flows) are supported:
piplanning.io Team Board > Rally Iteration Timebox: If a numeric value is entered into the Capacity field in an Iteration on the piplanning.io Team Board, then the piplanning.io solution will automatically update the Planned Velocity field on the corresponding Rally Iteration Timebox, keeping both systems in sync.
If the Planned Velocity field in Rally is updated first, you can force the synchronization to have the piplanning.io Team Board > Capacity fields synchronized with Rally by performing a manual synchronization:
Invoke the manual re-sync; piplanning.io Team Board > Iteration section, click on the vertical ellipsis menu (or the overflow menu icon)
Select Synchronize iteration
In the pop-up modal Click the Update Stickies button to confirm this action.
Note: Automatic updates of the Capacity field in the Iteration box on the piplanning.io Team Board via Rally WebHooks are currently not implemented.
