How to setup the Confidence Vote in a PI Session

  • Select Confidence Vote from the dropdown menu under the Facilitation b menu in the top-right.

  • Click Start New Confidence Vote

    Click Start New Confidence Vote button to create a Confidence Vote session.

  • Complete the Confidence Vote modal fields as follows:

    • Select Participating Teams

    • Enter a Title/Name - naming convention matters here as Users will need the specific information to guide them to the right Confidence Vote session.

    • Optional: Enter a Description

    • Optional: Check Anonymous Vote if this Confidence Vote is to be conducted in an anonymous manner.

  • Click Start Vote

How Users (Team Members) join a Confidence Vote

Users need to be logged into the PI Session:

  1. Logged in Users receive a notification that the Confidence Vote has started.

  2. Click on the notification OR navigate to Confidence Vote modal via the Facilitation Tools menu.

    1. Select the Confidence Vote session they need to join.

      IMPORTANT: Users join the right Confidence Vote session

      User selects the Confidence Vote session to join. Pay attention to the Confidence Vote session name.

    2. Using the Fist of Five voting scheme, a User casts their vote by selecting the icon that matches their vote.

    3. The User can either close the voting modal or leave it open to see results once the voting has ended.

Who/How to administer the Confidence Vote

Confidence Vote Administrator: the User that initiated the session

The user that administers the Confidence Vote session is the same User that launched the Confidence Vote. This user is fundamentally the Administrator of that Confidence Vote session, they can:

  • Keep track of the number of Participants Voting progress.

  • Control when the voting ends by clicking End & Reveal Votes button. Note: Do this once all Participants have cast a vote.

Confidence Vote Results

  • Results are display instantaneously to all Users once the voting has ended.

  • The Results can be filtered to focus only on the Low or Very Low confidence votes to support the facilitation of discussions to remediate the PI Plan accordingly.

Confidence Votes are displayed instantaneously when voting ends.
