Using a Timer

Keep your sessions on track with built-in timers, visible where they matter most.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Timer helps teams stay focused and timebox planning activities, breakout sessions, or syncs. Whether you're facilitating on a Team Board or across the entire ART, the Timer ensures everyone is aligned.

How to Set a Timer

  1. Click Facilitation in the top navigation bar.

  2. Open the Timer configuration panel.

  3. Choose where the timer should apply:

    • Board Timer – visible only on the current board

    • ART Timer – visible across all boards within the ART

  4. Set a name (e.g., "Breakout", "Confidence Vote", "Refinement")

  5. Set the time using presets to increase time

    • 30 min

    • 15 min

    • 5 min

    • 1 min

  6. Start the timer.

Where the Timer Appears

Once started, the timer will display in the top navigation bar, so everyone on the board (or ART) can see the remaining time.

When the Timer Ends

At the end of the countdown, users will see a visual alert and hear an audio signal, ensuring the group knows it's time to wrap up or move on.
